Property Acquisitions Coordinator
“I have a personal interest in investment markets. I’ve had exposure to (both) property trusts and direct property investments. Financial independence is important to me and I enjoy helping people” – Cathy Nguyen.
Cathy studied a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance at university. Putting this important financial education to good use, Cathy thrives on opportunities to help others, having had success in client relationship roles with a Big-4 bank and a major Australian stockbroking and wealth management company.
Well organised, calm under pressure, and a fantastic multi-tasker, Cathy is Propertyology’s champion at property acquisition logistics!
As part of our buyer’s agency team, Cathy is charged with the important responsibility of managing the property acquisition process for our investor clients. Once an offer to purchase a property has been accepted, Cathy will do her best to save you time, minimise your stress, and overcome challenges.
Building inspectors, pest inspectors, conveyancers, financiers, property managers, quantity surveyors, sales agents, and vendors… Invariably, it is likely that someone will drop the ball somewhere and / or there’ll be an unexpected surprise or two along the way. Cathy’s role includes liaising with the numerous parties on your behalf, to guide you on what / when things need to be done, to help you to acquire clarity, and to do what we can so that your end objective is achieved.
As an energetic and proud Gen Y, Cathy is living proof that property ownership is always achievable for anyone with determination and preparedness to acquire the right kind of help. As a second generation Australian, Cathy witnessed first-hand the importance and value of hard work and smart saving through her parents’ example. This was further compounded through her volunteer work as a micro-finance assistant which helped people finance their necessities such as medical expenses, furniture and education. These experiences motivate Cathy to help everyday Australians realise their financial goals.
In her free time, Cathy loves to read books or listen to podcasts (her favourite books being the 1Q84 trilogy by Haruki Murakami). She also loves great food and good coffee, a passion which was sparked when she met her chef partner. Her favourite dining and coffee spots are all in Melbourne and she uses this as an excuse to travel interstate as much as possible.
