Buyer Competition Leads To Price Growth

Buyer Competition Leads To Price Growth
August 13, 2014 Simon Pressley

Latest figures from SQM Research show that there were 334,683 properties for sale in Australia as at the end of July.

As a further sign that property markets are trending upward again the data shows that this figure is 4.8% less than the same time last year. All capital cities other than Darwin and Perth have fewer properties for sale.

Generally speaking, reduced properties for sale in a location means additional buyer competition which leads to price growth.
