The 2014 Master Plan for the Brisbane airport was approved by the federal government.

$3.8 billion will be invested by BAC over 10 years with a view to doubling passenger numbers to 48 million by 2034.

Studies conducted for the Master Plan revealed that by 2034 the airport precinct would be home to 51,500 jobs and contribute $8.2 billion to the state economy.
